A WEEKEND OF LOVE, LAUGHTER, AND FUN
This year's family reunion was nothing short of spectacular, a perfect blend of joy, remembrance, and celebration. We started things off on Friday night with a traditional fish fry at Mike’s house. The familiar smell of frying fish brought everyone together, and as we gathered around the table, the conversations flowed as easily as the laughter. It was a heartwarming way to reconnect and set the tone for the weekend ahead.
Saturday brought more fun as we all headed to the park for a day packed with activities. The kids had a blast with water play and swimming, while the adults relaxed and enjoyed the beautiful weather. There was no shortage of food to fuel the fun, and everyone dug into delicious dishes that kept us going all day long.
But the fun didn’t stop there! Saturday evening, we headed back to Mike’s house for round two. The bounce house was back in action, the pool was still calling our names, and this time, we added some classic spades games into the mix. The cake and water ice were the perfect treats to cool off with, and the sounds of splashing, laughter, and good-natured competition filled the air.
As we celebrated, we also took time to honor those who mean the most to us. We acknowledged our beloved Sheila Sowell, the oldest in our family, whose wisdom and presence continue to be a source of strength for us all. And we remembered with love our patriarch, Kenny Ricketts. His spirit was felt throughout the weekend, and we paused to reflect on his enduring legacy within our family.

Sunday brought a more reflective tone as we gathered for church at St. John’s Baptist Church in Camden, NJ. It was a powerful moment of unity, giving thanks for our family and the blessings we share. After church, we wrapped up the weekend with a beautiful family brunch in Cinnaminson. It was the perfect closing to a weekend full of love, laughter, and cherished memories.
